Personal Thoughts:
The 540PII is one of the cooler and more overlooked Japanese Ibanez models from this period. It has that unmistakable late-’80s / early-’90s superstrat attitude, but the Power-style body shape gives it a bit more individuality than the standard RG route. The spec is strong too. Basswood body, one-piece maple neck, rosewood board, Edge trem and the HS pickup layout makes it feel very much like a purpose-built shred guitar from Ibanez’s golden era. Fire Alarm Red is also exactly the right sort of finish for a guitar like this, giving it loads of presence and period-correct character. I also think the clean headstock and excellent fret condition are a big plus on an old Ibanez like this, because those are often the areas that let them down cosmetically. A very cool MIJ player from a brilliant era of Ibanez production.

Condition Report:
Very good condition. The headstock is very clean, the frets are in stellar condition, and there is only one tiny pinprick-sized mark around the backplate. Neck pocket cracks are present, as is often seen on guitars of this style and age. Supplied in an Ibanez soft bag, and a Ibanez hardcase can be supplied at additional cost.
