“SOUTHERN FADE" 1959 LES PAUL STANDARD “R9” REISSUE, HONORING AMERICA’S SPECIAL OPERATIONS AND SHADOW WARRIORS

Dating back to World War II and every conflict since, including the Global War on Terror, American special operations units, in a time before the CIA even existed, operated in secret, across the globe. Along with the CIA, America’s greatest Special Operators from the U.S. Navy UDT and SEAL teams, U.S. Army Special Forces, and U.S. Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC), operators developed elaborate spy networks, performed covert parachute insertions, island assaults, amphibious raids, and the occasional rescue mission.

This amazing Murphy Lab R9, closely resembles the Gibson Les Paul Standard, known as the "Joe Perry/Slash Burst," which is a storied guitar famously sold by Joe Perry in 1982, purchased by Slash years later, and finally gifted back to Perry by Slash for his 50th birthday. This Darkburst '59 (often considered a 1960 model due to its serial number) is renowned for its role in both Aerosmith’s '70s sound and Slash’s November Rain music video.

Legacy

• "November Rain": The guitar is iconic for its appearance in the Guns N' Roses "November Rain" music video.
• Signature Models: Gibson released a highly accurate replica series in 2013, honoring both artists.
• Uniqueness: It is recognized for its unique, darkburst finish and has been featured in books like "Beauty of the Burst". 

It now remains a centerpiece of Joe Perry's collection, but its journey strengthened the bond between the two rock icons.

P.S. Gibson's electronics were professionally replaced with boutique built, era correct PAFs, 250k CTS pots and real oil in paper bumblebee caps. Guitar was masterfully setup and has been play tested and with exceptional performance validated.
