I’ve handled quite a few Les Paul Traditionals, and this particular 2015 immediately stood out because it almost doesn’t feel like a used guitar. This one came from another guitar shop as new old stock, and it shows — the hardware still has that untouched factory sheen, the frets look excellent, the fretboard is clean, and the whole guitar has that rare “barely handled” feel that you almost never see on a nearly decade-old Gibson.
The Tobacco Sunburst top is killer in person, with a warm golden center, darker outer burst, and just enough flame and movement to give it real character without looking overdone. It has that classic Les Paul Traditional personality: rich, warm, full, and familiar, but this one feels especially fresh. The original pickups sound excellent, the electronics tested perfectly, and the guitar plays cleanly with spot-on intonation. The setup is solid as-is, and the overall feel is exactly what you hope for from a good Traditional — comfortable, substantial, and very much a real Les Paul.
Condition-wise, this is one of the cleanest used Gibsons I’ve had in a long time. It shows virtually no signs of play. I actually stopped short of doing more than testing it because the guitar looked so untouched. The frets, fretboard, pickups, strings, and hardware all present like a guitar that has barely been out in the world. There is one small mark on the back edge from handling, but beyond that, it’s exceptionally clean — not even the usual light finish swirling you expect to find on most glossy used guitars. The original hardshell case is also in like-new condition and still has the plastic film on it.
Weight: 8.82 pounds on my scale.
What stood out to me:
- New old stock feel with virtually no signs of play
- Beautiful Tobacco Sunburst top with tasteful flame and depth
- Original pickups and electronics
- Excellent frets and clean fretboard
- Hardware still has that untouched factory look
- Spot-on intonation
- 8.82 pounds on my scale
- Original hardshell case and complete case candy included
- One small handling mark on the back edge, otherwise exceptionally clean
Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
