I’ve handled a lot of Les Paul Standards, and this particular 2023 Standard 60s has that mean, stripped-down elegance that only an Ebony Les Paul really pulls off. The black top, cream plastics, amber knobs, and natural mahogany back give it that classy but aggressive look — clean, traditional, and just a little dangerous in the right light.
This one has also been tastefully upgraded with Seymour Duncan Hades Gates pickups, which gives it a little extra attitude compared to a stock Standard. It still has the familiar Les Paul weight and warmth, but with a more immediate, punchy response when you dig in. The action is low and comfortable, the intonation is spot on, and it plays cleanly with no buzz. Frets are in excellent shape, and the whole guitar feels dialed-in and ready to go.
Condition-wise, it’s in excellent overall shape. Like most black gloss guitars, it does show some typical light surface scratches and handling marks if you catch it in the right light, along with some light wall-hanger wear around the neck/headstock area. Nothing ugly, nothing structural, and nothing that affects the feel or playability — just honest light cosmetic signs on an otherwise very clean Ebony Les Paul. The neck is very good, the body presents beautifully, and the guitar has clearly been well kept.
What stood out to me:
- Classic Ebony Les Paul Standard look with cream plastics
- Upgraded Seymour Duncan Hades Gates pickups
- Low, comfortable action with no buzz
- Excellent fret condition
- Spot-on intonation
- Strong, punchy upgraded tone while still feeling very much like a Les Paul
- Clean overall condition with light typical ebony-finish surface marks
- Comes with the original hardshell case and complete case candy
Like all my guitars, this one’s been cared for and dialed in—no guesswork, no surprises, just a great instrument that’s ready to play. I personally inspect and test every guitar before it ships, making sure it’s in the exact condition I’d want to receive myself. These guitars come from me, not a shop—each one gets the kind of attention and care only a real guitar lover gives. Ships fast and insured.
⏳ Quick note
These guitars don’t usually sit. Most are purchased within 1–5 days, and I regularly hear from watchers after the listing has already sold. If this one’s on your radar, now’s the window!
