Vintage 1970's Fender F-35 Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar!
Made In Japan! RARE!
This is really cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1970's Fender F-35 Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar. In production from 1972 to 1978. Made In Japan. The Fender F-35 is often recognized for its reliable construction and warm tone. These popular, all-laminate guitars feature a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a 25.5-inch scale, making them durable, affordable options often compared in feel to 1970s Martins.
It does sound pretty good under the pick, and like other Japanese makes from the time, it's lightweight and loud. I have to be honest, here, and say that for many singer-folks a guitar of this caliber is a perfect general-use companion as the sound and feel is good (neck shape is like a 70s Martin) and the laminate build means it's tough.
The Fingerboard is Solid Slab Rosewood.
Affordable Japanese Vintage. Very Rare!
***Lacquer Cracks***There are about a dozen vertical Lacquer Cracks on the Top. They are NOT Structural. They are Cosmetic only. There is also some crazing as well. This is due to age. Normal.
Nut Width: 1.69"
Due to CITES Treaty for Endangered Wood (Mahogany, Rosewood) We no longer ship out of the USA.
Cosmetics: Very Good Condition. There is some wear on this F-35. Keep in mind that this is a 50+ year old vintage guitar that has been played. Some light strumming scratches on the pickguard as well as the Top. The Back has some marks from being held next to the player's body. Neck and Fingerboard in fine shape. Some scratches around the Headstock on the edges on both front and back. There are also screw holes from when the tuners were replaced. (See pictures #7, #8). Gator Soft Case in Great Shape. Overall, a very solid used guitar that plays and sounds great.
