This particular T-Bucket “Josef” (Serial #87), built in April 2026 at the Tao workshop in Brussels, Belgium, carries a striking Black / tinted amber natural finish over a two-piece swamp ash body. The contrast between the matte black with filled pores gives the guitar a refined and organic look that perfectly suits Tao’s aesthetic language.

Tonally, this build leans towards articulate, resonant, and incredibly dynamic. The custom Tao “Double D” Hum-Buckers offer impressive range, capable of moving from low PAF open, detailed clean tones into thick, harmonically rich overdrive without losing clarity. Combined with the lightweight swamp ash body and quartersawn maple neck, the guitar feels lively and immediate in the hands with exceptional note separation and sustain; especially given The extra mass of the custom handmade “bucket bridge”.

Like all Tao instruments, this T-Bucket is a distinctive one-off handcrafted piece of functional art; deeply musical, and built with an obsessive level of attention to detail.
