This Rare horn has excellent compression, and is a player. I have had no intonation problems with it, and it has its own characteristic tone. There is some minor wear to common spots where lacquer has worn off, and it shows hints that a dent was removed on the bell rim. The valves work well and the slides move freely. It is a #3 Bore (.468) and the serial number is 705105 (1960-64). Charlie Chisholm himself engraved his name, address, and the year he purchased it (1968): the same year he recorded his live performance at Philadelphia's famed Cadillac Club! This album was hard to find, but is included with the purchase. It comes in its original case and a rare Martin 1F mouthpiece is also included.
