Newly optimized bell bore and low Bb resonance key improve intonation

The YOB-441MT fosters accurate intonation throughout your range. Fitted with a redesigned American bell bore, this oboe offers greater stability in the middle range and allows you to transition into your upper and lower registers with ease. Yamaha has also included a low Bb resonance key that improves intonation on those tricky low Bbs.

Duet+ hybrid construction improves durability and retains tone

The YOB-441MT leverages Yamaha’s patented injection molding technology to bring you an intermediate oboe with increased structural stability and resistance to damage caused by moisture, temperate change, and normal wear and tear. The Yamaha YOB-441MT’s inner bore of the upper joint is injected with thermoplastic ABS resin. The result? An instrument with the visual allure and sonic character of grenadilla with the reliability and durability of ABS resin.
