Let’s start at the heart and work outwards.  The hex core is made with D'Addario high carbon ‘NY Steel’ which is unparalleled for break strength and tuning stability, then at the ball-end the wind is fixed with the ‘Fusion Twist’ soldered join so the ball cannot slip or move.

This solid base is now wrapped with D'Addario’s proprietary Phosphor Bronze wire providing warmth, clarity and projection. OK, so already the makings of a set of world class strings!

Now, the leap... the XS coating applied to the wound strings is an ultra-thin, inconspicuous film enveloping the WHOLE string which provides incomparable protection from contaminants for long-lasting tone and maximum life - no, it doesn’t fluff up over time either, they tested that, rigorously!

The non-wound strings are treated with a unique polymer to match, culminating in a set of strings that leaves the rest of the field for dust.
