This Yamaha SG-2000 is an Awesome, Rare and totally niche axe. A gorgeous Nippon build ca. 1981 this instrument is the jewel of the SG family combining the best of Les Paul and SGs into one glorious guitar. This 2000 haas been upgraded with Seymour Duncan JBJ (Bridge) and 59BJ (Neck) humbuckers for amazing tone. The main attraction is that this guitar is Fretless. It appears to be factory because of the quality however I am not certain. For the truly adventurous shredder, Steve Vai I'm looking at you.
Cosmetically, the guitar is in very nice shape. Nicks, dings, scratches, scuffs, patina and finish clouding abound. Big picture beautiful with a Super handsome business end. Included is a gig bag.
Free local pick up from PTD Vintage in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborrhood available and encouraged. Shipping is a flat $125 in the lower 48.
