Only issue with this Oud is it's pickup need some work. It has two fishman undersaddle narrow (Red) transducers (intact and wonderful) and a preamp. The preamp seems to be where the trouble is, and I would replace the unit-only because these guys are usually made overseas or folks buy them overseas (Qatar is where I got mine) and these places are extremely humid and wreck electronics in a hurry. Again just my opinion....
In short, this instrument may need a little work and I always like to show what an instrument needs rather than hide it. Most likely need 5 or so repair cleats, a new preamp (transducers x2 @ $135 new- these are perfect/no need to replace) and some strings.
