10", 35 watts 8Ω, Adopted primarily in the Vibrolux® and Vibroverb® amps of the Brownface and Blackface era, the C10Q is a very easy to drive speaker that breaks up nicely with straightforward biting character. It was also very common in many Silvertone® and Valco® amps. It loves the 2x10 configuration and the floating baffles. Vintage Ceramic speakers are designed to sound similar to the Alnicos, and were first developed in the 1960s as a cost-effective alternative to the Alnicos. The advantage of the ceramic speaker is its ability to handle more power as well as a player's front-end pedal accessories. Vintage Ceramic speakers are recommended for all types of music, and sound best at loud volumes.
The Vintage Ceramic Jensen® speakers were the heart and soul of guitar amps made throughout the 1960s and are still widely used today. The C10Q was one of the most popular ceramic 10" speakers for mid 1960s Fender® amps and continues to be a very popular and excellent choice today. Lows: Loose Mids: Aggressive Highs: Bright Overdrive: Edgy Straightforward tone with mid-frequency bite. It came out of à 1964 Fender Super Reverb-Amp, gently played for 15 years, that I don't have anymore. But I can tell you the clean tones with these in a Super Reverb were Glorious! So I have a total of 4 of these in stock! Check out my other ads...
