I'm guessing you already know what you're looking at. the quilt on this thing is insane. This guitar has as fine a neck as any PRS I've ever played. If not for another guitar I've got my eye on, I can't imagine I'd be parting with this one...
Cosmetic concerns: The typical swirling from cleaning and polishing that are inevitable with black guitars. A slight amount of buckle rash (but it doesn't show up in the pics). Some tarnishing on the trem (which, short of not playing the guitar, is unavoidable with the smoked chrome). There's one notable blem on the guitar: a scratch in the clearcoat around 2 inches long along the bottom/lapside edge of the guitar where the side meets the back. See the pics. From some angles the scratch is very easy to miss and it's not going to be visible to anyone watching you play (and you certainly won't see it while you're playing the guitar).
8.41 lbs. Comes with all the original case candy and the black paisley OHSC. Only mods are the strap buttons and the pickups rings (the originals will be included in the purchase).
Here's the original description from Rainbow Guitars, in Tucson, AZ:
We are thrilled to present our newest PRS Wood Library Run. These Modern Eagle V's have incredible looking hand picked Quilted Maple "10" tops, Mahogany backs, a great feeling Rosewood neck with an African Blackwood fingerboard and Green Ripple Bird inlays. A truly innovative instrument that offers highly musical tones for both recording and playing live.
The PRS Modern Eagle V utilizes a hum/single/hum (five-coil) pickup configuration and introduces a new and unique switching system that gives players a vast array of tones in one guitar. The 5-way blade switch selects the pickups just as the 509 does (treble, treble and middle, middle, middle and bass, bass). The two paired mini-toggles separate the slug-side coils, turning the hum- buckers into true, “TCI-tuned” single coils. There is a single volume and a push/pull tone control that activates both humbuckers when engaged; this allows players to access three pickups simultaneously. Finally, there is a third mini-toggle that changes the volume pot value from 500k to 250k, which gives the guitar a different palette of tones. This electronics design puts a whole set of classic and new tones at your fingertips.
Comes in the Upgraded Black Paisley Hard Shell Case.
