Update as of 8/16/26. I added a video demo. The video demo allows at least some idea of the tonal possibilities. I utilized a jumper cable as shown in the video and set the knobs on the and only used the guitar (Gibson Les Paul Jr.) volume knob to change the gain. The jumper trick turned this amp into an even more versatile amp. The preamp gain was unbelievable! Sounds like a compressor/distortion pedal almost! I only had my smartphone to record it. It's about 3 minutes long. Check the link and use earbuds or proper speakers to really get the best audible sound. I increased the price because it sounds like a whole other animal, now!

1955 Fender Deluxe Tweed Combo! 5E3 narrow panel amp circuit with 1x12 Celestion speaker from 1956.

Two of the knobs are replacements. The center knob is original. Recently serviced. The rectifier tube was changed and one of the preamp tubes. The rest are old, but work very well. I'm not 100% sure that the output transformer is original, but it is an old transformer. It has all cloth wiring from both transformers. I have seen other period amps with the sticker on the top of the output transformer. It still has the original two-prong power cord. The pictures show plenty of detail, inside and out.

The tweed has some age, fading and wear. There's a small cigarette burn on the top. The grill-cloth has a small hole. The exterior is evenly worn and looks like a well-used old amp. It wasn't abused. The handle was replaced, as the photos show.

This is amp is a horse... a true thoroughbred! Imagine... the guitar intro to "Brown Sugar" on ZZ Top's First Album. This thing pushes the air! You feel it as much as you hear it. Feel free to ask any and all questions.

Trades considered.
