Offering for sale my beloved 2023 Gibson 70s Flying V in Antique Natural, one owner only.

I originally bought this guitar brand new as a project to transform it and give it those beautiful late-‘60s / ‘67-inspired aesthetics (minus the Maestro Vibrola, since I didn’t want to drill extra holes into the body).

Here’s the list of mods and upgrades:

1. **Custom vintage-style pickguard**

This was by far the most complicated part of the project. I had a custom made pickguard built without the pickup ring cutouts, just like the original late-‘60s / early-‘70s Flying Vs.

The new guard uses standard pickup routes for proper pickup height adjustment. I also couldn’t stand the bright white color of the stock pickguard, so I had this one made in an off white vintage shade. The result looks fantastic, especially compared to the original.

2. **Matching vintage-style truss rod cover**

Added an off-white truss rod cover with a silver Gibson logo to match the overall aesthetic.

3. **Gibson chrome pickup covers**

Installed the correct sized chrome pickup covers from Gibson for a more authentic vintage look.

4. **Classic witch hat knobs + pointers**

Swapped the stock knobs for classic witch hat knobs with metal position pointers, a must for the proper ‘67 vibe.

5. **Kluson tuners**

Upgraded to vintage style Kluson tuners to better match the original specs and appearance.

Why the higher price?

I invested a lot of time, effort, and money working with my guitar tech to make this guitar look and feel special. This wasn’t a quick cosmetic swap everything was carefully planned to achieve the right vintage inspired aesthetic while keeping the guitar clean and tasteful.

The only extra holes are on the headstock from the tuner upgrade, but they are not visible.
