This rare vintage Selmer Model C Metal Tenor Saxophone mouthpiece — also known as the “Classic” model — is seldom seen on the market, especially in this remarkable condition. It came with a 1950 Selmer tenor saxophone that appeared virtually unplayed, and the mouthpiece reflects the same level of preservation.
The mouthpiece is in absolutely pristine condition. The rails and tip are perfect, the facing is clean, and there are no tooth marks or bite plate impressions whatsoever. The actual tip opening measures approximately .070.
A wonderful opportunity for collectors, vintage Selmer enthusiasts, or players looking for the warm, focused sound these early Selmer metal mouthpieces are known for.
