For sale is my special order DiMarzio Twang King tele pickup built with reverse polarity (South).
The standard twang king neck has North polarity, which is the same polarity as my Fender Custom Shop 51 Nocaster bridge, so it didn't buck the hum in the middle position; using this reverse polarity pickup fixed it. If you have a bridge pickup with the same polarity as a regular DiMarzio neck, this will likely help.
Condition:
- Comes in the original box with the included springs and screws
- Some light scuffing from ~8 months of home use, most if not all would polish out. Pickup has full length leads and works perfectly in its intended use.
Please only order this pickup if you know you need a SOUTH polarity (reverse of standard DiMarzio Twang King) pickup, as I do not accept returns.
DP172 Specs:
- Magnet: Alnico 5
- Resistance: 6.22 Kohm
- Wiring: 3-conductors; the cover has a separate ground wire ready for mods
