A stunning example of the legendary R9 Historic Reissue, this 2014 Gibson Custom Shop ’59 Les Paul Standard captures the look, feel, and tone of the original late-1950s Bursts that defined rock history. Finished in a beautifully figured Cherry Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer, this USA-made Custom Shop instrument delivers exceptional resonance, vintage accuracy, and premium craftsmanship.
Built with a solid lightweight mahogany body and carved figured maple top, the guitar features a comfortable 1959 rounded neck profile, Indian rosewood fingerboard and long neck tenon construction. The VOS-style aging gives the instrument a gently played-in appearance while preserving excellent overall condition.
Fitted with a Vibramate and Bigsby so no drill holes or marks on the top as well as fitted with a set of Bare Knuckle Mules, essentially hand wound PAF’s makes this a very well modded R9 that has a stunning flame maple cap with a lovely burst. Original pickups Custom Buckers, bridge studs and tailpiece are included and can be retro fitted at your request for a small cost or come with the guitar..
