A serious pedal for the serious collector, and a pedal for the serious audiophile that absolutely has to have the best, no matter what.
I bet my Civil War pedal kills every single other Civil War pedal on reverb.
I don't say that lightly, it rips .. if you want to sound like every other musician on Earth, then this probably isn't the pedal for you!!
If you're going to get a civil war pedal, get one that's reliable and you don't have to keep worrying about it. This is the one you want. Works flawlessly. I think these are the best fuzz pedals in the world probably.
I love how my Reverends, Les Pauls, and every other guitar I've played on it sounds. Strats sound REALLY good with them. I love the Civil War because it sounds great with humbuckers and single coils. Versatile. It has all the original four "trash can" trannies. The paint looks like crap, like most of them do, but it's because of the defective primer in the paint that companies were using back then..Other than not having its battery door they are actually built like tanks, they are indestructible. It will last forever if you take care of it. The foot switch is very nice and firm and clicks perfectly, engages instantly.. it still feels like a new footswitch because it hasn't been used that much, regardless of its looks. I think it looks cool as shit. They sound amazing and even David Gilmour uses these along with his Rams heads in the studio. Has Velcro on the bottom.
I change my mind on this pedal all the time so that's why you might see it listed one day and then I take it down and then list it again, lol. Not because I'm really playing it, but because I just want it. When gas costs as much as dental implants you got to let go of some stuff. I know it's pricey but everything's pricey, especially the best stuff in life.. It costs as much as an amp because it sounds better than an amp.
You can put this on any crappy amp's clean channel, and it will sound amazing. They also are great with wah pedals, without all the squealing and noise. Extremely smooth fuzz pedal and very aggressive if you want it to be. I probably like it best fully cranked and then just dial back the presence knob a bit, depending on what guitar I'm using and so forth. It's not muddy and it always cuts through the mix. It's just as good with rhythms as with leads. You can even get chugging on it with the metal tones. It actually palm-mutes very well for a fuzz pedal.
I've had this pedal thoroughly checked out by a professional before listing. He said it was perfect, and that it can't get any better. Then he offered me a grand for it, lol, which I refused.
