Best fuzz in the world imho. David Gilmour uses one, and others. 100% functional and original. I put better hockey puck style knobs on it, and I will include the original knobs. All of the pots and jacks have been professionally cleaned. The foot switch feels like a new switch because to be honest, it hasn't really been used much despite the look of the paint. The reason why the paint on many of these look poor is because they used a defective primer when they made these. The more new the paint looks, the more weary you should be of the pedal imo..Proco did the same thing with Rat pedals in the 80's. However, despite the paint, the Civil War pedals, like the old Rat pedals, are probably the strongest built of all the Sovtek and Big Muff pedals. If you take care of this pedal it will take care of you. It takes a 9-volt battery, no adapter unless it's one of those adapters you connect to the battery-snap (l personally wouldn't use those, and I definitely would not modify it to take an adapter). Yes, this pedal is expensive, but if a KLON pedal can be 10 grand, this is a steal. In fact, there's more KLONS laying around to buy than Civil Wars, by far, I promise you. The Civil War fuzz pedal Is the pedal that should cost 10 grand, not the KLON, imo. Just break out the credit card and use credit, that's what it's for! You can put this pedal on the cheapest worst amp, and make it sound like a priceless amp. Stacks wonderfully with any boost, or other overdrive pedal.
