This is a late Ledford dulcimer, mahagony top, two piece back with tuning machines. # 5874
From the Serial number listing of Homer's dulcimers - Special 2 piece back, 6 strings, gears, mahogany top, maple strip laminated in fingerboard, dove sound holes & 2 leaves like my "acoustic" dulcimer.
This is a beautiful dulcimer and excellent version of his work. No low balls please as I'm priced well for this one.
