This classic is from 1986. Yes it is 40 years old, it is all original no modifications. It has some Nicks in the paint as shown in the pictures but nothing affects the playability. It has Flip flop blue paint, a mahogany neck through body, the neck is also mahogany with an ebony fretboard, 24 medium jumbo frets, Schaller tuners, original Floyd Rose Bridge with tremolo bar, Seymour Duncan pickups, JB humbucker at the bridge with splitter switch, APS-1 single coil pickups in the middle and neck position, in lieu of a five-way switch it has micro switches, this is a wide variety of tones available on this guitar. You can turn on one pickup at a time to pick up at a time or all three pickups at a time, then it has a bypass switch for the bridge pickup which bypasses tone controls go straight to the output. What this does is you can set up a rhythm sound with this bypass switch in the up position and when you want to go to a lead all you have to do is move the switch and the volume increases I would say by at least 10 DB maybe a little bit more. I will include the original Kramer hard shell case. no buzzing, no clicking, everything works perfect, the intonation on the Floyd Rose is perfect and it never goes out of tune., the 1986 Kramer Stagemaster Custom—often referred to as the first-generation or "Mach 1" Stagemaster—did come with a tone control.According to specifications for the 1986 "Mach 1" Custom models (flat-top, full size body, 24 frets, ebony fretboard), the standard configuration typically featured:One master volume control,One master tone control,Three on/off mini-toggle switches for each pickupA rhythm/lead bypass switch for the bridge pickup, which bypasses the tone control when activeImportant Distinctions:Standard vs. Custom: The 1986 Stagemaster Standard generally came with only a volume knob, while the Custom featured both volume and tone."Mach 1" (1986-1987): These early models are characterized by their flat tops, sharp, squared-off edges, and 24-fret neck-through body
