Up for sale is a 1989 Gibson Les Paul Custom “Black Beauty” in Ebony, complete with its original Gibson hard-shell case.

This is a great late-’80s Les Paul Custom with tons of vibe and honest play wear that gives it a true vintage feel. The classic Black Beauty look—Ebony finish, gold hardware, and ebony fingerboard—paired with natural aging and finish checking gives this one a broken-in character that players love.

It’s been upgraded with a set of Seymour Duncan ’59 humbuckers, delivering classic PAF-style tone with excellent clarity and versatility.

Condition

This guitar is in very good condition (7.5/10) with honest vintage wear throughout.

It shows scratches, dings, finish checking across the body, finish wear, a few faded spots from previously removed stickers, and some dings on the back of the neck. All of this wear is cosmetic and consistent with age and use, adding to the guitar’s overall vintage appeal.

There are no cracks, breaks, or structural issues. The neck is straight, the frets are in excellent shape, and the guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. It has been professionally set up and is ready to go.

The original Gibson hard-shell case is included and is in very good condition.
