I love this guitar and have had it since 1990. It had a hard life before me and has definitely been modified. Still, it looks and sounds amazing. I’m selling it because I just don’t play it much anymore and I want it to find a home with someone who does.

Neck: (Best thing about this guitar.) Original maple neck with wide frets. Bullet type truss rod. A few dings and a cigarette burn on headstock but in great shape overall. Frets are barely worn for a guitar this old. See picture of the end of the neck showing original Fender markings. (“73” is faint but visible.) Tuning machines are Fender but must have been replaced at some point because there are old screw holes on the back of the headstock.

Body: Original. Ash, I think, with natural finish. Body has the Strat-type cutaway in the back which is comfortable.  When I bought it, the guitar had some nicks and stains, so I stupidly sanded it and applied satin poly. It looks good, but I shouldn’t have done it, I know. I was young then. (The guitar was originally natural – I didn’t sand off a painted finish.) The picture of the body without the pickguard is before pots were replaced.

Bridge: Original - as far as I can tell. Good condition.

Pick ups: NOT original. These were switched out sometime in the 80’s, I believe. Neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck Quarter-Pound. Bridge pickup is Jeff Beck humbucker. Both sound great. Pickups were originally white but were colored grey to stand out less.

Pick Guard: When the previous owner switched to the single coil neck pick-up, they replaced the original pickguard. The guitar had a white pearloid guard when I bought it. I switched to a smokey grey pearloid.

Electronics: Pots and switch were shot and were replaced about six years ago. Replacement pots and capacitor are Fender (or at least bought through Fender). Selector switch is actually for an SG, I’m told. (The original switch is in the case if you want to refurbish it.) MUCH less noise now, but one of the volume knobs has recently developed a tiny bit of static when turning. Not at all bad, but annoying for a relatively new pot.

Knobs: Not original but replaced with Fender to match original style.

Case: Original hard case. Pretty beaten up but still solid and latches work. (I don’t have the key to the latch locks.)
