This beauty is a lightly used, mostly collected, master-crafted Gibson Custom Shop Acoustic 1942 J-45 ‘Legend’ Reissue.
One of the most valuable and sought after acoustic guitars in the vintage world, this guitar is a true ’legend’ reissue of the aforementioned wartime classic.
Again, this one specifically is a ‘Legend’ reissue - see last photo.
This modern example is loaded with exacting details and top shelf tonewoods, including the Adirondack (Red) spruce top and mahogany back and sides - both torrefied (aged) for maximum tonal depth. Other features include a mahogany neck with a profile fitting the exact measurements of the original 1942 models, hide glue construction, era correct Adirondack X-bracing, a hand rubbed finish, and a fire-stripe pickguard.
