Gibson CF-100 acoustic guitar made in Kalamazoo, MI in 1957. Serial number stamped on the end block is U2606 27.

This guitar has just received a neck set and new bone saddle from Kerry Char's Shop here in Portland, Oregon. The guitar is very clean, plays and sounds great.

Outside of the recent work, the guitar is crack free and exhibits no other repair work.

The Sitka Spruce top shows a beautiful checked patina with some playwear around the sound hole. The pickguard is original as is the bellied Brazilian Rosewood bridge. The guitar has a triple bound top and singe bound back all of which has a very warm patina. The bound Brazilian Fingerboard fingerboard is in very good condition and shows very little play wear. The guitar has most likely been refretted. The frets show light wear. The neck has a gentil C profile with little play wear. The Kluson deluxe tuners are original but the buttons have recently been replaced. The Mahogany back and sides are crack-free but show wear consistent with an instrument of this age. Part of the finish on the back looks like it may have been in contact with piece of material that left a light pebbly impression near the center of the instrument. Overall, a very nice X braced instrument with a cutaway for access to the upper register.

Included with the sale is a new firm fitting hard shell case with plush black interior and textured tolex woven finish.

String height at the 12th fret is 1/8" on the base side and 3/32" on the treble side.
