Up for sale, a 2022 VL Effects Tone Invaders 1964 MK-I LTD in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. A modern take on the original Tone Bender MK-I, this exceedingly rare stompbox was handmade in Paris, France by Vincent Loret and is one of just twenty units produced.
The circuit features 2 Germanium Gold Mullard OC44's, a Texas 2G377, 1939 paper and oil capacitors, carbon comp resistors, and point to point wiring. The Tone Invaders offers ample aggressive bite ranging from thin, churning sizzle to rich buzzsaw splat. Fuzz, Swell, and Attack controls make up the user-friendly interface, with a Cut toggle switch for reducing high frequencies when Fuzz/Attack are cranked past noon, and an Alien footswitch for adding additional power.
The graphics are pristine, the side of the unit is numbered (dated to 2022) and signed by the builder, and the serialized model sticker is intact inside the enclosure.
