An Early Alembic Series I Short Scale Bass. These SSB basses were made famous by Stanely Clarke and remain some of the most popular Alembic basses produced. A testament to Alembic's exceptional craftsmanship the bass features a Figured Koa Top and Back Body with Mahogany Core, Maple and Purpleheart Neck Through Construction, 30.75" Scale Length, and Dual Pickups with dummy anti hum middle pickup. Plug this into the DS5 Power Supply and your favorite amp and you can hear the thunderous tone that makes these basses so sought after. Original electronics intact. Very Good Vintage Condition with finish checking throughout. A few extra previous strap button holes have been filled on the back of the body and two common stress lines at the control cavity that have been secured. Included is a newer hardshell case, DS5 Power Supply, and Cable. With new list prices of Series I basses in excess of 35k these Golden Era vintage examples are a great buy.
