Breedlove SC20/MH 1997 - Steve Henderson - German Spruce - Mahogany

This is a vintage 1997 SC20/MH that was hand crafted in Tumalo, Oregon, when Breedlove was still a small custom shop guitar builder producing only a few hundred guitars a year.  This particular guitar was made when luthier and founder of Breedlove Steve Henderson was still overseeing the Breedlove Custom Shop before his departure from Breedlove in 2001.  The acoustic guitars that were produced during Steve’s tenure at Breedlove are some of the most sought after Breedlove guitars that were ever made.  This SC20/MH is one of those guitars that was signed by Steve Henderson and feature’s Breedlove’s unique design elements like a graduated German Spruce top, bridge truss, asymmetrical headstock, and winged Ebony bridge saddle.

We’re the original owner and this guitar is in very good overall condition with some small marks, nicks, and fine scratches in the finish which don’t show up well in the pictures (See Photos).  The fretboard and frets show very little sign of wear and there’s 2 tiny split marks where the fretboard meets the body, and they‘ve been there as long as we’ve owned the guitar (See Photos). The guitar was recently setup with Elixer Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb 10-47 Strings and it sounds beautiful.  It includes the original case that’s in good overall condition and is fully functional (See Photos).  When we were restringing it, the new B String broke and there’s an extra set of new Elixer strings (minus the B string) included.
