This is an early Teac A-2340 4 channel tape deck, 7.5/3.75 IPS with synced over-dubbing capability, 3 motors, 3 head design, 7" reel capacity. This machine uses standard HiFi (unbalanced) RCA inputs and outputs, and accepts line level and (1/4" TS) microphone level signals.

This version does not have line voltage selection, or a dual pulley capstan for 60/50 HZ operation.

The previous owner added a set of chrome handles to the wood side panels using Tee Nuts, and did a nice job. Handles are easily removed without removing the side panels,

• It has been completely cleaned, lubricated, and recalibrated.
• All of the pots, switches, jacks have been cleaned, treated and exercised to remove any oxidation.
• All 3 motors have been lubricated, the Capstan and flywheel removed, cleaned & lubed, and pulleys & belt cleaned.
• Pressure roller tension reset to factory specs, roller solenoid mechanism removed & cleaned, linkages and lifter mechanisms lubricated.
• Head phase alignment and PB EQ adjusted using MRL chromatic sweep test tapes.
• Recording tests were made using vintage 1 Mil polyester tape and BASF Performance series, to calibrate record levels only.
• The machine has NOT been rebiased for any particular type of tape.
• All functions have been tested and are working.
• The heads have minimal wear, practically undetectable.
• Cosmetics are very good. Meters and lamps are working, front panel is very clean, reel tables work smoothly,
• All Mic and Line inputs, Line outputs have been recalibrated,

Features:

Sel-Sync (Simul-Sync) (Simultaneous Recording/Playback): This allows sync'd overdubbing; record on one track while playing back others in sync.

4-Channel Recording/Playback: Allows for quadraphonic playback or discrete 4-track recordings.
