A fantastic guitar. Not only very beautiful, but also with amazing tone and playability. It is in very good condition and well set up. There are some very light, minor scratches—the kind you get from playing. The binding (a common Martin issue) had started to come loose but has been professionally repaired. Nothing else of note. The case (black, including the latches—fitting for the "Man in Black") is included, of course. Shipping is an option. No trades, unless for a J-45 of equal value (Murphy Lab or vintage). I bought it three years ago—naturally, as a Cash fan. It is a superb guitar, a fact confirmed by the luthier who serviced it last year. Whether played with a light touch (e.g., fingerstyle) or with heavier strumming or flatpicking, it sounds deep, responsive, and warm, with beautiful projection. And it is truly stunning. It’s not "like new," but it has clearly been well cared for and is in 100% working order. Frets, setup... it’s ready for many more years of playing. The only reason I’m selling is that I find thicker necks more comfortable to play. I also own a 1977 D-35, and I always reach for that one—not because of the sound or looks (certainly not), but simply because of the fuller neck profile. This Cash model features the "Modified Low Oval" neck, which most people actually find very comfortable. A new one costs €6,800 at Thomann. Whenever I open the case, I still have second thoughts: the guitar is really too beautiful (it looks even better in person than in the photos) and too good to let go. But still... for the right price, I’m willing to part with it.
