Like the violins of old, Vincent Bach named his trumpets Stradivarius. This Bach Strad is breathtaking, so you might want to read this sitting down.
This is a 1927 Bach NY “Faciebat Anno” Bb Trumpet. Yes, you read that correctly. This is a large bore horn, #6 bell and is a wonderful player. The horn has been relacquered, though the work that has been done is of the highest quality. Two pictures of patches are above, and that work is quite similar caliber to the other work done.
This trumpet was owned and played by one owner since 1930. This type of horn is like having history in your hand. Isn’t it time that history was held in your hand?
