The NUX 6ixty5ive Overdrive is a standout entry in the Reissue Series, meticulously designed to capture the classic "Blackface" amp tones that defined the mid-1960s. This pedal acts as a vintage amp-in-a-box, delivering the crystalline cleans, snappy mid-range, and organic breakup associated with those legendary American amplifiers.
Authentic Vintage GritThe 6ixty5ive Overdrive utilizes a specialized analog circuit to replicate the tube saturation and compression of a '65 era amp. It excels at providing that "edge of breakup" tone—where the signal is mostly clean but crunches up beautifully when you dig in with your pick. It is highly responsive to your playing dynamics, making it an excellent choice for blues, country, and classic rock.
Tailored Tone ShapingTo give you total control over your sound, the pedal features a versatile control set:
- Level: Manages the overall output, allowing you to use the pedal as a transparent boost or a primary overdrive.
- Gain: Dial in everything from a subtle "warmth" to a rich, saturated drive.
- Tone: A wide-range EQ control to adjust the brightness and bite to match your guitar's pickups.
- Sat (Saturation): This dedicated internal trimmer-style control (accessible on the face) adds extra gain and harmonic complexity, simulating a tube amp being pushed to its absolute limit.
Like all pedals in the Reissue Series, the 6ixty5ive is built into a rugged, tour-ready metal housing. It features True Bypass circuitry, ensuring your dry signal stays pure when the pedal is disengaged. Whether you are plugging into a clean solid-state amp to add "tube" character or stacking it with other drives on your board, this pedal brings a piece of music history to your rig.
Key Features:
- Classic American Voicing: Authentic 1960s "Blackface" style overdrive.
- Dynamic Response: Highly sensitive to picking attack and guitar volume.
- Saturation Control: Fine-tune the harmonic density of the drive.
- True Bypass: Preserves your tone when the effect is off.
The NUX 6ixty5ive Overdrive is the perfect solution for players who want the punch and sparkle of a vintage amp without the vintage price tag or maintenance.
