Vintage
Wolfe Tayne
Metal Mouthpiece for Tenor Sax
Facing 6*
Good Condition
with Single Scew Ligature and Cap
A liitle rough looking in places with a bit of corrosion in places but beautifully playable with a bright yet pleasant tone. This is a vintage Wolfe Tayne metal mouthpiece for tenor saxophone. Stamped with 6* on the facing which places the date of manufacture before the 1980's. It probably dates from the 1970's. This mouthpiece comes with a single screw ligature and cap which appear to be original. The tip opening measures .090" or 2.28 mm.
Wolfie Tainenbaum was a well known recording and performing musician who went on to design for Otto Link and other name brands such as Guy Hawkins. The Wolfe Tayne brand started in the early 1950's.
Don't miss out on a highly desirable vintage mouthpiece. These are becoming very hard to find.
