Noble and Cooley snare
A not on the history of the drum from the owner of the snare (the son of Rocky White):
"Rocky White was Duke Ellington’s last drummer after Speedy Joe before Duke died in 1974. Rocky continued with the band under Mercer Ellington and later With Paul Ellington before his passing in 2008. Rocky recorded with the Noble and Cooley snare drum on the Grammy award winning Mercer Ellington’s album “Digital Duke” and also with the critically acclaimed album “Music is My Mistresses”. He also used the snare drum off the Mercer Ellington’s last album “Only God Can Make a Tree”. You can also hear and see the drum on the 1987 Concert with the Duke Ellington Orchestra in Berlin. This is a rare find. I’m selling because I don’t need it anymore and I want someone that will play it while honoring it’s lineage. You will not be disappointed, it’s def a rare find."
