This vintage 1985 Marshall JCM 800 Lead Series Model 2204 50-Watt Tube Amp Head is a winner as it's been recently serviced by Steve McKinley of Atlanta Tube Amp and sounds legendary!
The Marshall JCM 800 Lead Series Model 2204 is a highly desirable and coveted 50-watt tube amp head by any standards as it IS the definitive, single-channel "master volume" 50-Watt head. This one stands a cut above as it was recently given expert "vintage amp" service. As part of its servicing, its power supply and bias circuit capacitors were upgraded to F&T and Sprague Atom ones, the volume pots were replaced with new exact spec OEM ones, and it sounds absolutely incredible!
All tubes are JJs and the EL34 output tubes are burned in, matched, and biased to a 35mA sweet spot.
If you can find a better sounding Marshall JCM 800 2204, get it!
