This listing is for a vintage LM 400 5"x14" Ludwig Supra-phonic snare drum from 1971. It futures a 14” x 5” seamless beaded aluminum shell, Imperial lugs, and 1.6mm triple-flanged hoops, B/O badge with original paper tag that dates it to July 23 1971. It is original with exception of the heads and snares. There are no modifications or extra holes in the shell. The original P-85 strainer operates smoothly, as does the screw-operated, round-knob muffler located inside the shell. All tension rods appeared to be original. There are no damages. It shows some pitting and flaking and some scratches as expected for it's age, but nothing major -very very clean for it's age! Heads have some life in them, but you might wanna put some fresh ones.Tunes up easily and sounds absolutely fantastic - think John Bonham. As a bonus I'll include original clam shell case that the drum came with. Plastic tabs/ locks broke off, so I use a velcro strip to hold handles together. Ready to play right out of the box. Enjoy!
I described the item the best that I could. Please examine the pictures as they are part of the description, use zoom and ask questions and make your own determination. I'll be glad to provide more pics if needed. Item is used and sold as is. No refunds/returns after drum is shipped. Shipping in US 48 lower only ( no international buyers). Thanks.
Drums, Ludwig, Gretsch, DW, Sonor, Tama, Yamaha, Pearl, Remo, Evans.
