The Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face is a meticulously faithful reproduction of the 1969-70 Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face model that Jimi used on classic albums such as Electric Ladyland. Jimi Hendrix was able to mold his guitar tones into incredible sonic textures and shapes, using only a few effects in addition to his cranked-up amp and guitar. In the process, he created an iconic sound that still makes jaws drop nearly 40 years later. When dedicated guitar effects became available in the 1960s, Hendrix was one of the very first artists to embrace them as sound-shaping tools, rather than gimmicky afterthoughts tacked on to a dry guitar tone. Many of his legendary solos and sonic journeys took advantage of effects such as the Cry Baby wah, Uni-Vibe chorus/vibrato, Octavio octave doubler, and, of course, the incomparable Fuzz Face distortion.

Unlike most guitarists of his day who were content to simply amplify the sound of their instruments, Hendrix actively sought out new tools to turn his guitar tones into malleable shapes that could range from chiming bells to roaring beasts to otherworldly sheets of sound. Distortion was a big part of his arsenal, and the Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face gave him the firepower. The Hendrix Fuzz Face is built around the toneful BC108 silicon transistor. It is authentic in every detail - a handwired circuit board with no solder mask and circuitry carefully matched to the original specs. The look is 100% accurate too - that groovy circular chassis with tooled clones of the original Fuzz Face knobs in the rare and vintage turquoise hammertone finish.
