Martin Custom Shop 00-28 Modern Deluxe Adirondack #3042115 — Acoustic Guitar

Martin 00-28 Modern Deluxe Adirondack – Overview

The Martin 00-28 Modern Deluxe Adirondack blends the intimacy of a classic small-body rosewood Martin with a premium Adirondack spruce top and the advanced design features of the Modern Deluxe platform. Built in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, this model pairs a solid Adirondack spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering a warm, balanced voice with exceptional clarity and depth.

Part of Martin’s Modern Deluxe Series, this guitar incorporates forward-thinking design elements that elevate the traditional 00 platform. The Adirondack spruce top provides increased headroom and projection, while forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing allows the soundboard to move more freely for enhanced responsiveness and tonal complexity.

Tone & Performance

The 00-28 Modern Deluxe is known for its balanced, articulate voice and comfortable feel. The smaller body size delivers excellent clarity and note separation, while the rosewood back and sides contribute rich overtones and a warm, full-bodied response.

The Adirondack top adds strength and dynamic range, giving the guitar more power and projection than a typical small-body instrument. Players will notice a responsive feel that adapts equally well to fingerstyle playing and controlled strumming.

Construction & Modern Deluxe Features

Martin’s traditional dovetail neck joint and solid wood construction preserve the resonance and tonal depth expected from a handcrafted American-built acoustic guitar. The Modern Deluxe platform introduces premium upgrades including a titanium truss rod for reduced neck weight and improved responsiveness, along with a liquidmetal bridge pin system designed to maximize energy transfer from the strings to the soundboard.

The comfortable Vintage Deluxe neck profile with High-Performance Taper and 1 3/4" nut width provides modern playability while maintaining a familiar feel. An ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and gold Waverly tuning machines complete the instrument with both performance and visual refinement.
