The Keeley Blues Disorder is an analog 4-in-1 overdrive and distortion pedal that combines the circuits of two legendary pedals: the Marshall Bluesbreaker and the Fulltone OCD. Part of Keeley’s 4-in-1 series, it allows you to independently toggle the tone stack and the clipping stage between these two classic designs to create hybrid "in-between" sounds.
Functionality & Controls
The pedal features three main knobs—Level, Tone, and Drive—and two toggle switches that define its character:
- Tone Switch:
- BB (Up): A transparent, high-frequency filter.
- OC (Down): An active mid-range boost with a high-frequency roll-off.
- Drive Switch:
- BB (Up): Soft-clipping overdrive that mimics a cranked tube amp.
- OC (Down): Hard-clipping distortion for a more aggressive, edgy tone.
By mixing these switches, you can access four distinct drive voices
- Pure Bluesbreaker: Both switches in the BB position for low-gain, transparent overdrive.
- Pure OCD: Both switches in the OC position for thick, hard-clipping distortion.
- Hybrid 1: BB Drive with OC Tone for a "throttier" medium-gain sound.
- Hybrid 2: OC Drive with BB Tone for an aggressive but clear crunch.
