1963/64 LG-1 that plays and sounds amazing! I had it set up last month in preparation of putting it for sale and it plays like a brand new guitar, I was shocked. Needs nothing at all. Still has the original plastic bridge that works great.
No cracks or repairs that I can see, no headstock break. The shop I purchased it from listed it as a 1963 but after looking up the serial number, I'm seeing 1964. Whichever year it was, these are the very last years of golden-era vintage Gibsons and it does not disappoint.
The case is the old chipboard style and as is common with these, it is no longer very functional. I haven't touched it since owning the guitar, I use a Martin gig bag. The handle has broken off and the case has become very frail after 60+ years. Also, the previous owner who put the two giant "The Protector" stickers on the case is just stupid, enough said.
Let me know if you have questions. Thanks!
