Bought this banjo in January 2025 to learn clawhammer, and am very happy with it but would like to move to a more mellow sound. This banjo creates a dense and bright sound with beautiful overtones and great resonance for an openback. I have upgraded the bridge to a sullivan old growth maple bridge. The only wear that I can see on it is the pencil line I marked on the head when I replaced the bridge. Currently has medium gauge string joy strings. The tuner and leather strap pictured is not included in the sale. This banjo is American made as well.
