UPDATE - This instrument plays well and has a nice, surprisingly room-filling sound. Newly priced to sell quickly.
Vintage Ramírez blue-label “Instrumentos Para Rondalla” Concepción Jerónima No. 2 classical guitar, made/sold through the Ramírez shop in Madrid. The interior label reads “Ramírez / Instrumentos Para Rondalla / Concepción Jerónima No. 2 / Madrid / Tº 228-12-17.”
Based on the round blue Ramírez label, this appears to be a late-1950s/1960s-era Ramírez-associated student/rondalla classical guitar, exact year unknown. Ramírez documentation indicates these blue-label instruments were selected from Spanish factories, adjusted/reviewed by the Ramírez shop, and sold through the Madrid store, rather than being 1A/2A Ramírez workshop concert guitars.
This guitar is very lightweight, resonant, plays well and sounds good. It was recently restrung and professionally set up by LA Guitar Repair in Sherman Oaks, CA. It is in playable condition and comes with a sturdy hard plastic case.
Condition: Good vintage condition overall, with visible cosmetic wear. There appears to be water/humidity-related finish and wood rippling on the back of the guitar, visible in the photos. There are scuffs, marks, finish wear, and age-related cosmetic imperfections throughout. Please review all photos carefully. I have tried to photograph and describe the condition as accurately as possible.
Sold as described: a playable vintage used instrument with case.
