Ibanez 2405 Custom Agent from the mid-1970s, part of the original “lawsuit-era” Artist series. This model is known for its carved scroll headstock, ornate inlay work, and hardware layout that mirrors high-end single-cut designs of the period. Build quality on these is consistently strong, with tight neck joints, clean binding work, and the heavier 1970s mahogany/maple construction that gives the guitar its sustain and midrange punch.
Electronics follow the classic dual humbucker format with independent volume/tone controls and a 3-way selector. The pickups deliver the expected 70s Ibanez voice: articulate top end, solid low mids, and a slightly compressed response that works well for rock, blues, and studio rhythm work. Hardware, binding, and decorative elements are all era-correct, including the engraved tailpiece and multi-layer pickguard.
There are a few pictured blemishes that add character but it remains structurally sound, with stable tuning machines and a neck that sets up cleanly. Frets have life left, and the guitar intonates properly across the board. Includes what appears to be the original case.
