For sale is a beautiful transitional Conn New Wonder II 10M lady tenor saxophone!
This horn is a prime golden era Conn serial #257xxx with rolled tone holes!
This horn features extremely early incredible lady engraving with split bell keys!
This saxophone is most likely a re lacquer saxophone. Its possible this horn is a once lacquer type situation. This is right around the time when Conn switched from bare brass saxophones to lacquer. We were not with the saxophone to know its true full history however the engraving is fully intact and the lady is beautiful to the eyes!
This horn is sitting on old pads and will need a full overhaul and pad job to be any kind of functional saxophone.
This saxophone is being sold in as not working and has various scratches, knicks, dings, fleabites, patina, metal wear, red metal wear and other anomalies associated with such an old antique.
Please plan on a full pad job overhaul on this sax! During the overhaul and cleaning process your tech can remove/polish any of the red patina marks to make a clean looking sax.
No case is included with purchase. Horn will be packaged and shipped proper!
Its worth noting how incredibly rare these saxophones are. You can find a New Wonder II, you can find a 10M. But its extremely rare that a good example of transitional tenor shows up with the lady engraving like this horn. If you enjoy the restoration process this is going to be an incredible horn to bring back to life and play after!
This horn is on sale at our Los Angeles, California saxophone showroom store and can sell at any point so if you have been looking for a Conn tenor please buy and pay confidently we will ship ASAP upon payment!
