Alvarez 4103 KOREA LATE 70'S TO 80'S - NATURAL CLASSICAL GUITAR VERY NICE CONDITION

Alvarez Model 4103 nylon string classical guitar in very nice condition. Serial number data online doesn't date it precisely but info says this model was made in Korea starting in the late 70's and well into the 80's.

This one is in very good shape and very well made. It plays very well with good action. The heel joint is solid, the top shows no pulling and the bridge is solidly attached with no gap and has never been reglued. Plays and sounds very good. Hardly any marks to speak of. A few rubs on the top edge of the body. One at the bottom near the lower strap button area (there is no strap button on this classical) and another edge rub on the front edge below the sound hole. Both minor. If you view the top in a light to see the gloss you can see a little waviness below the sound hole which may be a very minor dent. Really not anything but I try to mention everything.

I needed to replace the old tuning gears because there were parts missing so I found a good set in my parts box and put them on. They're a little squeaky but they may quiet down. They tune the guitar well and hold tuning perfectly.

I believe the woods are spruce top with mahogany back and sides all laminated. Fingerboard and bridge look dark like ebony. I would bet that they are another wood darkened but I don't know for sure. It looks great.

Anyhow it has new strings on it and it's ready to go. Sorry it has no case or bag included but it will be well packed. I could say that it's excellent for its age but I like when my buyers are pleasantly surprised by the items I sell.
