This is a 2004 "El fortis" built by Ralph M. Walker III.

He was a luthier in the Fort Worth area who built high end classical guitars and mandolins.

This guitar was built for a friend of mine who is a very accomplished classical player and instructor. The guitar wound up in my possession about 18 years ago as he was having an extremely high end flaminco guitar built.

It has been well played and maintained. It has a very clear and responsive tone with no dead spots or muted notes anywhere on it.

The rosewood keeps the voice focused and clear but the cedar top keeps it from being excessively bright. Very balanced over all and the overall quality rivals most of the boutique classicals I've had come through my shop over the years.

It currently doesnt get used as much as some others so I'd rather see it go to someone else than let it sit.
