Personal Thoughts:
The McCarty has always been one of PRS’s most sensible core models, and the 2011 guitars sit in a really nice spot. You still get that slightly old-school, fuller-feeling PRS character, but with the consistency and refinement that makes these such easy guitars to live with. The McCarty treble and bass pickup set is a big part of that. They tend to sound warm, balanced and open, without pushing too far into either ultra-vintage or modern-hot territory, which suits this model perfectly. I also think the Evergreen finish is a lovely choice on a McCarty, especially if the top is strong, because it gives the guitar something a bit more distinctive than the usual amber or burst finishes without losing the classy feel. A very smart USA PRS and one that still feels like a lot of guitar for the money.
Condition Report:
Excellent condition. Presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of use.
