Up for sale: A vintage 1978 Fender Precision Bass. This is an OUTSTANDING Fender P bass. This is your chance to own a natural heavy relic P bass with all natural wear including the cigarette burn in the headstock. Someone added a thumb rest back by the bridge. that is what the two holes are for. it’s a nice wooden one, but I didn’t use it so I took it off.
Most of the finish is checked and a lot of it has flaked off. It is a true Heavy Relic bass.
This bass is also a great player w very low action and super straight neck. The bass currently wears Dongel Flats 86-38. The tension is slightly lighter than TI Flats. I have a set of Ernie Ball Slinky 105-45 rounds I can throw in if you want a higher tension or don’t want flats.
The bass is all original except for the Delano 17mm big pole pickups and the Baltic Amber pickguard, which has an easy access truss adjustment slot.
Bass comes with original black pickguard and original pickups and pots, pickup and bridge covers and the custom wooden thumb rest. OE pickups are in perfect working order.
