The ultra rare collectable Hondo H-1060 in cherry made in Japan. Excellent condition. Great frets, amazing feeling typical C neck. Brass saddles and neck. Pickups are 57s with push pull splits. Knobs have been replaced. Awesome gray/blue high-end Epiphone case. Only minor cosmetic marks from existing over 45 years. Keeps up with any 335 I've had over the years. Time for this one to go too.
The Hondo H-1060 was a high-end, Japanese-made electric guitar produced from approximately 1979 to 1983.
- Manufacturing: These guitars were part of the "Hondo Professional Series" and were produced in Japan by high-quality manufacturers, notably Tokai and Matsumoku.
- Model Type: The H-1060 is a semi-hollow body, typically a copy of the Gibson ES-335.
- Quality: They were designed to compete with higher-end market guitars, often featuring set necks and quality hardware (sometimes including Gotoh pickups), setting them apart from the standard Korean-made, bolt-neck Hondo models of that era.
While the H-1060 was made in Japan, most other Hondo guitars from the 1970s and 1980s were produced by Samick in South Korea.
